Summary: Throughout the years that Veterans Affair (VA) has been offering health care, there have been a large number of mistakes. First of all, there are many cases of veterans who have applied for health care and have yet to receive it. Hundreds of thousands of veterans have passed due to the lack of health care. Also, there have been a number of complications with the VA’s management of health care enrollment data. These include, but are not limited to, software glitches within the records system and inconsistency in identifying veterans who have died.

Reaction: I think that some kind of action should be taken to make sure the veterans are getting the care they need, and in a reasonable amount of time. There have been over 307,000 deaths of veterans because they were not giving their care in a timely matter. To me, that shows that the company is irresponsible, and shouldn’t be able to offer their health care. It angers me that it takes VA years to get their health care in order for one person. Because of their inconveniences, there have been unnecessary deaths, and I can see it leading to more potential deaths. I believe that someone should look into this issue more, and do what is necessary to give not only the veterans, but everyone, the proper health care they need.

World Impact:  I believe that since the world has seen what VA is doing, people will began to use it less and less. Everyone will know that if they want health care in a timely matter, not to use VA because they will be waiting for a while for it. If people use VA less, they might have to shut down, which could be good or bad. It could impact the people who already have their health care from them for the worse, and it can also impact the veterans by pushing them to get better health care. These deaths have come as a shock to the world, and I think that it’s time they stop.
